A critical review does more than summarise. Reconstruct the work's central claim fairly, examine its evidence and assumptions, and evaluate both contribution and limitations.
Separate the author's position from your assessment. Use precise formulations such as überzeugend ist insbesondere …, unberücksichtigt bleibt hingegen … and die Tragweite des Arguments wird dadurch eingeschränkt.
